Welcome to Viet Nam Family Search.
We are a community of Vietnamese Adoptees who are dedicated to helping first families connect with children they were separated from prior to May 1975 as a result of the War in Viet Nam.
We have years of experience, and access to a variety of ethical, community-based, not-for-profit, and government-led resources.
What matters to us.
Adoptee led
We are all adoptees who are on our own search and reunion journeys. We understand from first-hand experience the importance, impact, and challenges that come with the decision to search. As such, we are committed to supporting first families in their search journey, and are invested in helping seek answers.
Individual focused
We understand that every journey is unique. We will prioritise the needs and capacity of first families as we work together to seek answers. We will always approach the search journey and those involved with respect, and endeavour to provide the support and resources appropriate for each individual.
Community orientated
We acknowledge that it can be a long, difficult, and lonely process to seek answers, and we acknowledge the desire to give back to the communities that we came from. VNFS offers access to a number of programs and initiatives that reconnect adoptees to each other and to Viet Nam, and facilitate monetary and resource distribution to communities in need of support.
