What to expect
This event is open for all participants in the Celebrating Viet Nam Mothers Bike Ride.
Over the course of the 1 hour session, you will:
- Have the chance to meet other participants ahead of the event
- Hear and share fundraising tips
There will be opportunities to meet during some of the planning sessions, but this is just an opportunity to meet your fellow riders.
Preparing for Your Ride
Online workshop (Zoom)

What to expect
This event is open for all participants in the Celebrating Viet Nam Mothers Bike Ride.
The workshop will be hosted by Martin Barrass. Martin is a former trainer for the Canadian Olympic cycling team. During the workshop, he will take participants through the process of preparing for the ride, with reference to the guidance documents.
Over the course of the 2 hour session, you will learn about:
- Training regimes
- Riding attire
- hydration and fueling your body
- What to expect during the ride
- What to expect after the ride
There will also be an opportunity to ask Martin questions pertaining to the ride.
Mental Health and Wellbeing

What to expect
This event is open for all participants in the Celebrating Viet Nam Mothers Bike Ride.
The seminar will be hosted by Gianna Mazonne. Gianna is a Gestalt Psychotherapist who has been practicing for over 20 years. She specialises in supporting people to address the life-long impact of developmental trauma and adult attachment issues.
Over the course of the 2 hour session, you will explore:
- How to prepare for visiting Vietnam – even if it is not your first time
- Planning for support and self-care
- Strategies for when in Vietnam
- Knowing to give space and time to process

Meet and Greet – April

What to expect
This event is for all participants in the Celebrating Viet Nam Mothers Bike Ride.
At this event, you will meet your fellow participants in person!
We will be shuttled to Mr Biker Saigon to have your bike customised, tagged, and loaded, ready for the bike ride. We will then return to the hotel via the shuttle to share in pre-departure drinks and food at the rooftop bar.
